Amino Acid Chelated Iron Ferrochel®
vs. Ferrous Sulphate

Has your doctor talked to you about iron? Did she mention Amino Acid Chelated Iron Ferrochel®?

If you are or expect to become pregnant, one of the major changes you will face is an increase in blood volume accompanied by a 20% increase in hemoglobin. (Hemoglobin is the part of your blood that transports oxygen to your cells).

The increase in iron required for your body to produce this additional hemoglobin can only be met through supplementation.

I am sure the need for added iron does not come as a surprise to you but did you know that…

…. not all iron is created equal?

As an expectant mother, don’t you think you should have the best form of iron available?

The most common form of iron used in supplements today is ferrous sulphate.

Unfortunately, the fact is, ferrous sulphate is poorly absorbed (only about 10%) by your body and frequently causes stomach upset and constipation.

You Can do Better

There is, however, a better form of iron available which has up to a 70% absorption rate.

Albion’s patented iron supplement, called Ferrochel®, has the lowest rate of reported side effects of any form of iron.

Since it is readily absorbed by your body, you get more of the essential iron into your system and you don’t have to suffer with stomach upset or constipation commonly experienced with other iron supplements.

Ferrochel® is nearly 10 times safer than ferrous sulphate. To reach unsafe levels you would have to consume 5000 mcg for every kilogram of body weight.

The government agreed with Albion’s safety studies and Albion’s Ferrochel® is the only form of iron that has been granted GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) status.

If you are currently taking iron supplements check the label… … Do they contain ferrous sulphate or Amino Acid Chelated Iron Ferrochel®?
